Exploring a possible link between insulin resistance, vaccine to SARS CoV 2 and glycaemic disturbances in diabetes mellitus, type 2

چکیده
The occurrence of both hyperglycaemia and hypoglycaemia, individually in combination is reported the literature, occurring various insulin resistance (IR) syndromes, to endogenous insulin, like Hirata disease, otherwise called Insulin Autoimmune syndrome (IAS), type A, I R, Type B, IR etc. exogenous administered like, antibody syndrome, (EIAS), non- classical auto immune Glycaemic disturbances without non-diabetics, idiopathic symptomatic reactive hypoglycaemias are also described literature. This author, recently for first time, a biphasic post - vaccinal following vaccination Covid 19 (Covishield), causing glycemic an elderly diabetes mellitus 2 (DM2) patient on who had moderate IR. observed patient, considered crucial clinical as, increase or decrease IR, could explain glycaemic disturbances. vaccine 19, have immunological basis. aspects briefly reviewed explore any possible interaction between two, that referred above. Also, underlying mechanisms disturbances, above-mentioned syndromes non-IR r explored as shed some light mechanism reported. A hypothesis suggested, taking into consideration, aforesaid observations. Apart from other unidentified factors might be reported, which account its paucity reporting, need investigated by future research.

The pivotal link between ACE2 deficiency and SARS-CoV-2 infection
Angiotensin converting enzyme-2 (ACE2) receptors mediate the entry into the cell of three strains of coronavirus: SARS-CoV, NL63 and SARS-CoV-2. ACE2 receptors are ubiquitous and widely expressed in the heart, vessels, gut, lung (particularly in type2 pneumocytes and macrophages), kidney, testisand brain. ACE2 is mostly bound to cell membranes and only scarcely present in the circulation in a s...
متن کاملInsulin Resistance, a surrogate marker, in type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is an insulin resistant state associated with accelerated atherosclerosis, hypertension, dyslipidemia and abnormal vasomotor responses to insulin. One hundred and thirty nine T2DM patients were included in this study. Out of the total 139 patients, 120 (86.33%) had hyper-insulinemia. According to the NCEP-ATP III criteria, the prevalence of IRS was 103 (74.1%) am...
متن کاملQTc INTERVAL AND INSULIN RESISTANCE IN TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS
Introduction: Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) are at increased risk of dying from cardiovascular diseases. Elevated cardiovascular risk in this population persists even after other conventional cardiovascular risk factors are eliminated or reduced, suggesting that there are other, incompletely understood, mechanisms which are increasing cardiovascular risk in such patients. Ventricu...
متن کاملType 2 diabetes mellitus in childhood: obesity and insulin resistance.
As rates of childhood obesity climb, type 2 diabetes mellitus has increasingly been diagnosed in children and adolescents, with the highest incidence occurring among youth from racial and ethnic minority backgrounds. The serious complications associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus make it essential for physicians to be aware of risk factors and screening guidelines, allowing for earlier patie...
متن کاملInsulin Edema in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Case Report Study
Edema is a rare complication induced by insulin therapy, which is mostly developed after initiation or intensification of insulin treatment in diabetic patients. Edema can either be localized or generalized. Our patient was a 34-year-old woman with type 2 diabetes. She was under treatment with oral agents medication, but recently insulin therapy was initiated for her due to inability to control...
